RAM SAO THAI YAI

    They are Tai people, which is the original ethnic group of the modern Lao & Thai people today. They live across borders between Southern China, Northern Laos, Northwest Vietnam, Southern Burma and Northern Thailand.

    Thai Yai people are found in nothern thailand, mainly Mae Hong Son and along the Thai-Burma border of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai provinces… they are also known ‘Shan’ in Burma/Myanmar as most of them live in the ‘Shan State’. ..
