  • thank you so much i being looking for this recipe and i finally found it..thank again

  • mmm i love nem!! soooo good.

  • the vietnamese version is called nem. nam=nem. The vietnamese version tastes better to me. It’s more flavourful

  • nam is soooo good…i love making khao tod salads with it and eating it wrapped up in lettuce leaves! My favorite way of eating nam is just warming it up in the microwave and eating it with khao neeow lol

  • I love this, it is a traditional Vietnamese food too, called Nem Chua. It is sold everywhere in VN. The pork skin is cooked but the meat is raw. If u dun have a good stomach then don’t eat it!

  • raw, but fermented. good to eat.

  • find a local asian market

  • where do you buy the cold pork rind? can you please tell me…..

  • You can’t eat this if you’re pregnant

  • The powder acts kindof like a pickle, it kills the bacteria from the inside, fermenting it.

  • so i don’t have to worry about eating it raw? let me know please

  • My Thai girlfriend makes it without the powder. She uses cooked rice and it works just fine. You can leave out the chillies if you don’t like it hot.

  • oh, i forgot. don’t forget to add some salt.

  • if you like raw Nam you can buy irradiated Nam for parasite free.

Nam is easy to make. Pork, pig skin, garlic, pig ears (optional) and must add cooked rice for feed bacteria.

You can cook Nam for steam, grill, fried with others recipe like fried rice, Nam fried rice, boil with vegetable, pizza topping, etc.

  • so the pork is raw??? the the pig thingy too???

  • “Although scientists have isolated and identified several virulent disease-causing parasites in poison-animal (pork), they are still at a loss in understanding how the parasites circumvent the immune system, and launch an extended assault on the poison-animal eater’s (pork) life. Such an assault is characterized by the parasites’ invasion of nearly every organ in the body, including the brain.” from the book PERILS OF EATING POISON-ANIMAL: HOW EATING PORK DESTROYS THE EATER BY K. A. MUHAMMAD
